1st April mini - What happened
Around 20 people showed up. Cool :)
Quick intro from Rebecca & introductions round the table.
Brian Calhoun gave a presentation on Silverstripe's version of Agile, leading to discussion of topics and issues in Agile projects including:
- user stories/cards - paper & web based
- when to optimise, refactor, integrate code
- measuring velocity per iteration/sprint
- testing apps - Windmill, PHPUnit
- sprint 0 - preparation - set up environs, research, visual branding (still managed with story cards)
- getting graphic design/ux side of things working in Agile can be difficult
- client experience - Agile can mean client takes more risk due to time & materials type arrangement
